Advantages: Non-flammable, thermoplastic, very resistant to water and electrical and heat insulation, relatively cheap price, a wide range of flexibility, resistant to attack by insects and microorganisms.
Disadvantages: Low softening temperature and tensile strength, low resistance to strong solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, and chlorinated solvents, difficult to dye.
